Who's Who?
State Transition Contact: A state education agency staff member assigned primary responsibility for secondary education and transition services within a state.
Regional Resource Center Contact: Person assigned primary responsibility for assisting state and local education agencies with secondary education and transition services.
State Director of Special Education: Lead person within the state education agency responsible for administrating special education programs on a statewide basis.
Monitoring and State Improvement Planning (MSIP) Part B Contacts: The state contacts to reach when you have questions regarding the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). IDEA guarantees the free appropriate public education (FAPE) of children and youth with disabilities in the least restrictive environment (LRE).
State Director of Vocational Rehabilitation:
Lead person within the state vocational rehabilitation agency responsible
for administrating vocational rehabilitation services.
